Great day out. Probably one of the busiest days I've ever seen in Kempton due to the fact that they were running the Classic Bike Show at the same time in the same place.

The day's loot

A World War copper hammer, a disc for my current CB500T project, a "too cheap not to buy" Africa Twin disc, an oval number board and a "too expensive for what they're worth" set of cheap sockets

Petrol tank

This CB175 tank had to be modified to fit my frame. We had to fabricate a new bottom half from sheet metal Still under construction but to be finished some time this summer if the weather doenst get too hot.

The bargain of the year

Old, early eighties, corroded, resprayed more than 3 times over the original colour 5 spoke Kawasaki "mag wheels".  Not easy to find (just like the discs to fit them). Dont know much about where they've been but I like to imagine they've been all around the world. All I know really is they had water in the tyres, so probably left out in the rain for some time. Lovely shit looking things for a £1 each plus postage.

Saturday I found a couple of bits for my current project in Stafford. A couple of tanks and a rear mudguard. For less than £50 for the lot, the "future's so bright I gotta wear shades"

The beauty inside

During the process of restoring my CB500T last summer,I kind of lost control of things and bought a job lot of donors. 2 bikes left for dead "as usual" wich I cannibalised to get the first one running.
Having found myself with nothing to do and no TV , I decided to get something done to the second CB500 despite the odd looks I get every now and then from those who insist on asking "why...?"
 The way I see bikes has changed a lot over the years, specially since I got back into them over a "lost period" and I honestly think I can feel their essence a lot better now.
I hope my pictures show what I see when looking at something as old, abused, rusty and neglected  as this bike.

New projects

Isnt life glorious when you can only afford cheap bikes...lots of them.  Just bought my sixth bike and started cutting the fifth to bits.
